When we started dreaming about The Amazima School, we thought about the land we would need, the resources we would need, and the support we would need. We thought about the opportunities, the threats, the risks, and the rewards. We thought about the children we would serve and, equally important, the team we would need in order to serve them effectively. Today, we are still thinking about all of these things, but we are happy to let you know that progress is being made.
Meet Mark Guthrie, The Amazima School’s Head of School. Mark has many years of experience as head of school in both private and public education in the US and abroad. He will spearhead efforts for the school and brings so much excitement, energy, and a lot experience to our team! Mark and his wife Laura have been married for over 24 years and have four children, two of which are adopted from Uganda. Four years ago, Mark and his wife Laura traveled to Uganda to finalize their adoption. Little did they know, they’d be returning someday.
Join us in welcoming Mark and his family to Team Amazima.
