Week 16 Introduction

Archaeology, the scientific study of ancient artifacts and ruins, helps us uncover and understand history by examining physical evidence from the past. When it comes to the Bible, archaeology often confirms details about places, people, and events mentioned in the text. For example, the Bible mentions kings, cities, and territories that archaeology has verified as real and historically accurate. While archaeology doesn’t prove spiritual truths or divine inspiration, it plays a crucial role in supporting the Bible’s reliability by confirming that many of its historical details are accurate and grounded in real-world events.
