Imprints

Multiplying Gospel-centered education, discipleship, and strengthened communities across Uganda.

Through Imprints, Amazima partners with like-minded, Christ-centered ministries that are already rooted in their communities, equipping them with training, mentorship, resources, and the Amazima model. Rather than starting from scratch, we want to share what God has taught us over nearly 20 years—the successes, the challenges, and the lessons learned—so that other organizations can strengthen their work, deepen their impact, and help transform communities across Uganda for the glory of God.

How did Imprints Come to Be?

The Amazima model is more than a school program—it is a holistic approach to education, discipleship, and community transformation. Through our Primary School, Secondary School, Futures programs, and Community Engagement initiatives, we walk closely with students, parents, guardians, and entire communities. These wraparound programs allow us to remain deeply invested in the places our students call home, with discipleship at the center of it all: deep, lasting relationships that point people to Jesus and extend far beyond any single program.

After nearly 20 years in Uganda, we have watched God transform Amazima into a Christ-centered community hub—a place where students, families, and neighbors gather for learning, encouragement, celebration, friendship, and spiritual growth. From the beginning, Katie believed that lives change through relationships—with Jesus and with one another—and that truth still shapes everything we do. Now, with awe and gratitude for all God has done, we believe He is inviting us to dream again: to leverage what He has entrusted to Amazima for the benefit of others and to bring Gospel transformation to communities across Uganda.

Why Imprints are important

Uganda is a nation of children, with more than 50% of its population under the age of 17 according to the 2024 census—meaning that investing in children is truly an investment in the future of the nation. But Uganda doesn’t simply need more buildings; it needs stronger communities, equipped leaders, and Gospel-centered discipleship.

Across the country, trusted organizations are already doing meaningful work and are deeply rooted in their communities, yet many lack the long-term support and infrastructure needed to grow. Imprints connects this reality with the model Amazima has spent years building and refining, allowing us to honor what already exists, strengthen local leadership, and multiply proven impact by coming alongside others who share the same heart for Gospel transformation.

How the Imprint Model Works

Identify

We identify organizations that share Amazima’s heart for discipleship, are already trusted within their communities, and have strong relational foundations for long-term Gospel impact.

Partner

We come alongside like-minded organizations to listen, learn, encourage, and develop long-term strategies that strengthen the meaningful work they are already doing.

Equip

We equip partners with key elements of the Amazima model, including educational systems, curriculum support, teacher training, discipleship resources, operational structures, and best practices.

Learn

We continue in relationship through coaching, training retreats, shared learning, and ongoing mentorship, with Amazima’s campus serving as a central hub for encouragement and growth.

Each Imprint remains uniquely its own, but all are rooted in the same mission: to make disciples of Jesus through excellent education, authentic relationships, and strengthened communities.

What Makes Imprints Different?

Most expansion models focus on replication, but Imprints focuses on multiplication.

Instead of building new campuses, hiring new teams, and trying to build trust from ground zero, we get to build on existing trust, strengthen local partners, and create a network of aligned and thriving communities. And the result? It’s not just more schools, it’s a movement of discipleship and leadership development across a nation.

The Bigger Vision

The Amazima campus will become a central hub where teachers are trained, leaders are encouraged, organizations are equipped, and community is built. With each new Imprint, that impact reaches further—touching more families, communities, and future leaders across Uganda.

Together, we are forming a growing network with one shared purpose: to see individuals, families, and entire communities transformed through Jesus. Our vision is that all of Uganda’s 23 million young people will have access to excellent education where they learn the truth of Jesus Christ, so the next generation can become future leaders and change-makers in their country. It is a big vision, but we have seen what God can do with willing hearts and open hands surrendered to Him.

Our First Imprint

We have already begun a partnership with our first Imprint! HEAL Ministries is a trusted ministry that exists not far from Amazima’s campus in Jinja and that is also based out of Nashville, TN. HEAL’s mission is to empower children through relationships and Christ-centered programs, much like Amazima. HEAL currently owns land in their community of Budondo and operates a preschool and farm for the community. They have always dreamed of having a Primary School and the community has been asking for one, but alone, they haven’t had the resources or staff to pull it off.

40 of HEAL’s current preschool students will be ready to enter primary school in January of 2027. We are spending all of 2026 helping them hire their staff, bringing them to our campus for training, shadowing, and partner teaching. In February of 2027, in partnership with HEAL, we will open the first grade of the first Amazima Imprint Primary School at HEAL Ministries. We will then spend the next two years building the additional structures needed for the primary school so that the school will grow one class at a time. Our hope is that this is just the beginning to one day having Amazima Imprints all over the nation to the glory of God and for the advancement of His Kingdom!
