Coronavirus UPDATE

Video update from our Scholarship Program Director in Uganda

Today we’ve asked Mukama Benard, our Scholarship Program Director, to shoot a quick iPhone video and give us an update on the ways he and his team are supporting our Amazima students and families as they shelter in place during COVID-19.

We are thankful that, as of today, there is a relatively low number of cases of Coronavirus in Uganda. Our prayer is that God does the miraculous and that the shelter in place order will keep the virus contained and it will not spread any more than it has.

At the end of this video, Mukama shares how you can be praying for our team and families during this time. It is our hope that we can stand united together in faith, asking God to do what only He can do and bring this pandemic to an end across the globe.

For clarification, when he mentions child-led families, these are homes where one or more of our scholarship students have become the sole guardians and caretakers of the other children in the home.
