Week 41 Application

Jesus isn’t surprised by your struggles. In fact, He warned us they would come. But He also gives us this incredible promise: Take heart—I have overcome the world.
That means your hope isn’t based on whether today is a good day. Your peace doesn’t depend on whether life goes your way. Your hope is based on the truth of His love. Your confidence rests in the One who already defeated sin and death.
Paul says we “do not lose heart” because our struggles are temporary, and God is using them to do something eternal inside of us. Jesus changes our perspective. When the world sees trouble, we see the opportunity to practice trusting God. When the world gives up, we hold on.
No, following Jesus doesn’t guarantee that everything will work out the way we want—but it does guarantee that we’ll never go through it alone.
