Week 9 Application

God’s love isn’t just a feeling—it’s an action. Romans 5:8 tells us that Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. He didn’t wait for us to clean up our lives or get everything right. He chose to save us when we were at our worst. He was willing to take on the “lion” of sin and death for us.
Romans 8:38-39 builds on this truth. If God went to such great lengths to save us, would He ever let us go? Paul’s answer is clear: absolutely not. Nothing—no power, no mistake, no fear—can separate us from His love.
This is the foundation of our assurance of salvation. We don’t have to guess or hope that we’re saved—we can know. When we place our faith in Jesus, we’re rescued, declared “not guilty,” and promised eternal life. And God, who cannot lie, is the One who made that promise.
