Methods Change, Mission Doesn’t

February 22, 2017

A Letter from Amazima’s Managing Director:

At Amazima, we like to say we hold our mission tightly and our methods loosely. And it’s true. Our mission has never wavered. It remains, “To live out the love of Jesus by educating and empowering the people of Uganda and the communities we serve.”

But over the years, some of our methods have changed for the better. What started as a small Sponsorship Program grew to include discipleship, mentoring, medical care, vocational training and feeding outreaches. What began with Katie “living out the love of Jesus” one person at a time has grown into to a ministry that touches thousands of lives each day.

The Amazima School - Day One!

February 14, 2017

The sky was painted with a mixture of sunrise rays and fog that had settled throughout the valley. A peace took over the land, one that you couldn’t help but notice. It was apparent that after years of preparation, the first to show up on the opening day of the The Amazima School was The Holy Spirit. The day was finally here.

The Amazima School Update

January 09, 2017

It’s official! We’re less than a month out from February 13th–the first day of classes at The Amazima School. As you can imagine, things are crazy busy around here–in the best way. God placed this vision in our hearts years ago and we announced plans in the fall of 2014.

The Amazima School Update

December 21, 2016

We’re less than two months away from our first day of classes at The Amazima School! Here’s how you can be praying:

  • The dedication is planned for late January! Pray for God’s presence to overwhelm all who attend, and for this event to bear witness of the incredible work God is doing in and through Amazima Ministries.
  • Continue to pray for the hearts of students who will make up our first class.
  • Pray for safety, peace, and joy for individuals and families who are in the process of moving to serve on staff.
  • Pray, most of all, that this land will continue to be used for the advancement of the gospel.

Thanks to all who have prayed and given sacrificially so that hundreds of students may come to know Christ through The Amazima School!
