Week 51 Application

The young son’s demand was bold and selfish—he wanted what was his right away, disregarding his father’s feelings and the family’s unity. Often, we can relate to this impulse: wanting our own way, believing we’re ready for independence without guidance. But life as a follower of Christ isn’t about chasing what we want; it’s about seeking what our loving Father desires for us. When we insist on our own way, it can hurt our relationships and pull us away from the abundant life God offers.
Take a moment to reflect—are there areas where you’re demanding your way or holding onto selfish desires? God invites us to trust His timing and purpose, to live not for ourselves but as part of His family, blessed to be a blessing to others.
