Retired, But Not Tired

Patrick, a retired lab technician, is embracing new farming methods after decades of using traditional Ugandan methods.

“I am retired, but I’m not tired,” Patrick says with a beaming smile on his face.

For community members like Patrick who have a family to provide for, farming isn’t just a form of income or a hobby, it’s a method of survival.

Patrick was one of over 140 local farmers who attended Amazima’s bi-annual Farming God’s Way training last month. Farming God’s Way is a resource that empowers farmers with proven, biblically-based principles and sustainable methods for conservation agriculture. More than that, this resource opens the door for Amazima’s staff members to share about the truth and love of Jesus.

Since 2012, your giving has allowed over 500 sustenance farmers in our community to attend Farming God’s Way trainings, and substantially increase their yields (most by 50%) as a result. Thank you for joining us on our mission to live out the love of Jesus by educating and empowering the people of Uganda!
